Your wedding day is one of the most important moments of your life, and we're here to make you feel like the radiant bride you've always dreamed of being. From the trial to your BIG DAY we’re dedicated to making sure you look and feel your absolute best on your special day.

Bride-To-Be Trials

Makeup $175, Hairstyle $175

Hair and makeup trials are exclusively available to the Bride-to-Be! We believe every bride deserves to feel stunning from the very first consultation. Trial sessions are a stand alone service, ensuring you have the perfect look well before your big day!

*Trials are optional, but always fun & recommended. Trials are done weekday mornings in Salinas, CA. Trials are their own independent service & do not count towards wedding day costs.

MUAH Wedding Day Tips

    • Hydrate and Rest: Try not to drink too much the evening before and aim for a good night’s rest.

    • Vows Preparation: Brides, get your vows done, written, and printed a few days before the wedding.

    • Steam-Free Zone: Any steaming of gowns should happen the day prior. Steam is not our friend; it will make hair frizzy & makeup break down and get shiny.

    • Fresh Hair, Please: All ladies getting hair done should have clean, dry hair. If hair doesn't get oily, you can also wash it the evening before.

    • Glow-Ready Skin: All those getting makeup done should have cleansed, exfoliated, and moisturized faces.

    • Party Vibes: Designate a bridesmaid to make a fun playlist and bring a speaker.

    • Natural Light is Key: Makeup setup should be near a window/natural light.

    • Electrical Access: We will need an area next to electrical outlets for the hair setup.

  • When do trials happen?

    Trials are for booked & contracted brides only! Trials are done weekday mornings in Salinas. We recommend trials 4-6 weeks before event date, but they can also take place whenever you’re in town.

    Trials are for bride only but you can bring 1 guest with you.

  • Do you come on site on the wedding day?

    Yes, we travel to you on the big day! Whether that be your home, Airbnb, hotel, venue etc. BUT for the trial, you come to us.

  • How long do you need per service?

    Bride hair: up to an hour

    Bride makeup: up to an hour

    Maids/moms hair: 30-45mins each

    Maids/moms makeup: 30-45mins each

  • What if I have a large group of people needing makeup and/or hair?

    We can accommodate that! We have a team of talented artists who can help. We only bring helpers if the headcount for hair and makeup exceeds 8 OR the completion time is super early. We need to know the headcount at time of booking to ensure we staff your event accordingly.

  • What is the average time you start hair and makeup?

    We start anywhere from 7-8am. Anything before 7am is considered an “early” start. Anything after 7 is very normal.

  • Do you offer airbrush makeup?

    No, we do not. We love the tradition method of makeup using brushes and some sponges. We can also easily customize makeup to each persons preferences, whether that be super minimal or super glam.

  • What brands do you use?

    SO many good things! Lots of Charlotte Tilbury,Nars, Mac, Laura Mercier, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, etc. We use products that we have tested and tried for years to ensure they’re going to wear well for a long day. And most importantly, photograph wonderfully!

  • Do we provide any of the makeup or hair supplies?

    No, we just need you to provide a face & head of hair. Of course, if there’s something you love, and want us to use, just let us know!

  • What if my hair doesn’t hold a curl?

    We’ll determine that at the trial and go into detail on the prep tips you’ll need to do to ensure that your wedding day style is perfect!

  • How does booking work?

    Super easy! We know wedding planning is overwhelming so we like to be the fun vendors to work with. We take a $100 hair & $100 makeup deposit via Zelle/Venmo And a signed contract. Easy as pie! The deposits are applied to final balance.

  • How does final payment work?

    Final invoice is sent a couple weeks prior to event date. Final payment is due one calendar week (7 days) prior to event date. We accept payment from bride only. So make sure to collect from the other people prior to paying us.

  • What happens if you can’t be there?

    This is rare and has happened just twice in 17 years. But of course, life,illnesses and emergencies happen. In the rare event this happens, we will do everything in our power to make sure someone else from our staff (or list of amazing colleagues) can help you. If that’s impossible, all your previous made payments will be refunded.

  • Why MUAH?

    We are a best friend team. We have been doing this for 17ish years now and each bride is so special to us. When you hire us, you are also getting two new besties who will have your back and ensure you have the most fun wedding morning with your besties. And, we are moms. Between the 2 of us, we have 9 kids. So there’s nothing more amazing to us than to escape our house for a bit and have glam time with you! 🥂

  • Are there any service minimums?

    We require a 5 person hair & 5 person makeup minimum for Friday and Saturday weddings. These totals include bride. For any other day of the week, there are no service minimums.
